    Kilted Jazz Band in Glasgow

I saw lots of kilts being worn in Glasgow for the Glasgow Show on Saturday. I was too busy bussing people to and from the show to take pictures, but during my lunch break I managed to persuade a few members of a jazz band, kitted out casually in Wallace tartan kilts, to pose for a quick photo.

Their shirts are definitely different. Must be no regulation footwear for the group. Just wear your Wallace kilt and black "yellow fishy" shirt.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Hi Alex, would be interesting to find out more about them, don't know if there was a directory for the Glasgow Show but from the photo it looks as if they have just donned the kilt for the occasion. I wasn't in Glasgow at the weekend but was in Balloch for the Lomond Folk Festival

Great pic. Is that a red also sax the girl in the back is carrying? Cool. Mmmmmm Jaaaaazz, Niccce! I bet they'd be fun to jam with.
    Best Regards John

And have you heard of Tiny Grimes and his Rocking Highlanders??

I had the great pleasure and honour of working with Herb Gordy, Tiny Grimes' bassist (left), for many years at Disneyland.
