Kilted on the River
So, once a year our local AA groups have a weekend gathering - Serenity by the Lake. For the last three years we've done a float trip down the Colorado River through Glen Canyon and had an AA meeting while we float down the river.
One of the stops is at Horseshoe Bend to look at petroglyphs and utilize the solar powered porta-potties. Some of us also like to cool off in the 45 degree river water.
We're 1,200 feet deep in Glen Canyon here. Used my new Filson vest rather than a sporran. 'twas a beautiful day to be floating down the canyon.
Today was an Ireland's National USAK semi-trad day.

Mmmm... riverrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I can feel the cool water from here!
Today was a USAK Ireland's National day for me too. Wore my casual to run errands then off to Lubbock for a kilted weekend get away.

Hey, I have a kilt that I would feel no shame over using for activities such as swimming.
The pictures didn't load but it sounds like a great spot.

If the pics didn't load try looking in the Ireland's National album in one of my galleries.
Alan, come on over. These were in Glen Canyon which becomes Marble Canyon, then the Grand Canyon.
