    Kilted in WalMart

I know this comes up form time to time about wearing your kilt in WalMart, for the new kiltie there is the usual trepidation. I've been to local walmart several times kilted, I've never had a problem with it. Here are a few pics.

    I even found these

It was a good day kilted.

I did not buy the shoes, just thought it was funny, and we were on our way to the grocery isle when the photo was taken.

Ya, I usually end up at WalMart every time I don the kilt. Never had a problem, either.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

What tartan is that? There are many things in the makeup isle that a man can use.

I'm wearing the Royal Naval Association and inside the shoe is the Royal Stewart. I know there are lots of things a man can use in the makeup isle, I however do not use any of it.

After all the poses that we all post outdoors, at a castle or at the pub it is refreshing to see photos of someone wearing their kilt in a "real-life" situation. While all the other photo posts are nice, this one is a good example to the new kilt wearer that, yes the kilt is a normal garmet of clothing and may be worn at places other than Highland Games, Burns Suppers, or ren fairs. Thanks for posting another great picture McMurdo.

Absolutely! I think I used to get some weird looks when I used to buy some supplies. Most probably thought I was purchasing for a GF, but...

I use a dab of clear nail polish on shirt buttons to keep the strings from unravelling.

Womens "Sanitary Napkins" are far superior to any dressing you'd find in a first aid kit! Throw the pre-packaged dressings away. They're useless. Replace them with these "napkins".

I also used to use balled up nylons to buff out minor smudges on my spit-shone shoes. It has something to do with the weave of the nylon - no other material could touch the shoes without dulling them. There's something scientific to it, but the details of why it works is beyond me.
Hello nurse! Is it time for more meds already? Well, alright, but I'm just in the middle of posting... Ouch! Hey... Ohh!... I... feel... much... calmer... already...
