| | | Kilting in the Rain! (Nor Cal January Kilt Night)
The weather last night was amazing. Mother Nature turned on all the faucets and let them run full blast all through the night. A few hardy kilties put on their finery and braved the elements for good company and a few lovely beverages at the Devil's Canyon Brewery.
Here are a couple of photos
way2fractious and Panache
This is the official public debut of the infamous Pink Death Camo kilt. w2f is a most talented fellow. In the last few weeks he created this most striking of kilts as well as crafting the wonderful full mask raccoon sporran for the very lucky (and grateful) Panache.
Not as striking as the material, but way2fractious' pleating is a marvel
A very wet Xena. She and brother Sinbad danced and played in the downpour for the better part of two hours before both of them came to us to complain that they were cold and wet!
More to come, including a traveller from the South and the newest member of X Marks the Scot and the Nor Cal Rabble!
Cheers
Jamie

Farlander joined XMTS yesterday and I sent him a PM with details about our monthly kilt nights. He threw on his drover coat over his new Stillwater Nightstalker kilt and headed out to join us! By chance I had met his wife who is a park ranger at a Santa Cruz State beach back in November. She had talked about her husband wanting a kilt and I had mentioned both Stillwater Kilts and XMTS. Lo and behold here he is a member of the rabble!
Welcome to XMTS Farlander!
From down South XMTS' own CameronTaylor, the lovely Debra, Farlander, MacKeller, The F-H.C.A.G. and Sinbad. Chris what are you looking at?
Farlander, MacKeller, a lurking Panache, The F-H.C.A.G. and a tired little boy, way2fractious, The Lovely Damaris, and TimC
Wet, but well met
The elements are no match for the mighty Nor Cal Rabble!
Cheers
Jamie

Great piccies Jamie, as always - and a warm welcome to Farlander.
Jamie, I have a question for you: I am intrigued by the fact that your Nor Cal Kilt Nights, regardless of the weather, always appear to the uninitiated to be held in the back yard of a container storage facility? I mean no disrespect, but is this typical of the Greater San Francisco area?
Take care,
Ham.

How he pulls off that pink kilt is a mystery!
You all look very good, Jamie.
Even poor Sinbad.

Another great set of pics. I will have to schedule a trip to the left hand coast sometime to coincide with one of these evenings.

All I can think of is bursting out in song singing Kilted in the Rain. Great shots even if my humor is not.
