A bit o' subterfuge here, wearing my denim Trojan kilt and approaching from the sea.
Dodging these defences.
I spotted another kiltie, would he be able to help in the mission....
.....but when I got closer I realised this kiltie was probably a wumman.

I got all the way up to the base of the flagpole where I was rumbled...
....by an Englishman who took my photo
So this photo of last year's capture of the Spanish flag will have to suffice.
Next I scaled the rock of Gibraltar.....
....passing through this short old military tunnel which ran across the ridge near the summit.
MartinGrenoble was in Torremolinos which was one of the stops on the train journey from Fuengirola back to Malaga Airport.
So we met for lunch on my last day in Spain.
