Kilting at Tallulah Gorge...

My girlfriend and I took a day trip up to Tallulah Gorge, Georgia's first tourist attraction, yesterday.

A great time was had by all, and we even ran into an authentic Scotophile- We stopped at a rodeside scenic overlook/gift shop, that was manned by a very nice lady and her son. As it turned out, the young man, probably about 9-10 years old, had a huge fascination with Scotland and the kilt- spoke in an AWESOME Hollywood Scottish accent. After his initial questioning, he scurried off to return with not one, but two library books on tartan! Apparently, this fellow has been rigging kilts out of plaid pillowcases and such! Made our day.

At any rate, Abigail really enjoys photography, and she got some very cool pictures- She took all of these, including the one's she's in!

Here's one of us. I'm wearing Ryan Ross tartan.

A couple of the GORGEous(rimshot[rimshot]) scenery!

And a couple artsie shots. In the first one, I was jumping between the remaining foundations of one of the towers that supported Karl Wallenda's tight rope:

At the end of the day:

...after all that hiking, Abby was pooped.

Thanks, Matt- I was waiting to see how long it'd take for you to notice. Not long at all.
...an homage to one of the best(THE best, really) kilted avatars I've ever seen!

EDIT: I like your new one, as well. Very old-school.
