Kirkin of the Tartan; Franklin NC 06/21/09

Well, in addition to going to the "Taste of Scotland" I attended the "Kirkin' of the Tartan Ceremony" as well. It is held every year there at the First Presbyterian Church on the Sunday after the "Taste of Scotland." It was very nice ceremony and would recommend attending a "Kirkin of the Tartan" ceremony to any who have not.

Lloyd is the Gentlemen in the middle just beyond the flag. One of the major participants in the "Friends of the Scottish Tartans Museum."

    I don't remember her name but I know she's a Lamont.

    Yours truly!

Half of the flags that were available to carry.

You can see the other half against the wall. Lloyd is in this shot as well, by the door.

Mr. Cockburn I believe... one of the Museum's volunteers.
