Late evening stroll

We decided to have a nice stroll yesterday eve as the days temperature cooled off.
Back to one of our old faithful bus stops just up the road from us and away we were ... it was a beautiful eve






Soon passed some nice watering holes

[Derek]

Just under a 10min ride and we were off in the country lanes


The countryside was looking fab in the eve light








Then a footpath or two

[Derek]

Back to more lanes


Stopping to look at the plants






And so the sun got lower

[Derek]

And on we went




Ahead you can see the Bristol Channel and Severn Estuary. The other side of that water is England. The village you can see was once flooded (in the 14/15th century I believe) and the water rose up 14ft .. the church was awash ... there is a plaque on the church showing the height of the water and all about the flood. You can see the church tower.

Then eventually back on a main road our final destination

We soon settled in


Its a nice old pub




Then got down to business

And a nice pint it is


We came out and decided to walk home .. its about an hours walk


Past lots of little watering holes


Then when Elaine and myself got in we sat out the back for a bit




Thats it ... back to another working week now
