    Leatherneck Kilts Pics Album

Inchessi's post got me to thinking it'd be nice to assemble pics of our Leatherneck tartan kilts on a thread. Charlie Mc started such a thread two years ago, but it closed the same day it opened. Not sure why.

But if its okay with the mods would be nice to see....?

Mine is worn in honor of my late little brother's ten years of service. Its 13 ounce from Strathmore Mills and hand sewn by Kathy Lare - a Marine mother.

    Lets see some more.

Good thread Ron. I'm looking forward to following this. I think the Leatherneck, along with the other Service tartans are all cracking.

Maybe you could expand the thread to include submissions of photos for all service commemorative tartans like US Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Law Enforcement and Fire Fighter's Memorial. Also Royal Air Force, The Australian etc. Blimey, when you think about it, there's loads. Just ask folks to hold back on the Black Watch maybe.
    Best Regards John

Easily one of the most handsome tartans around. Unfortunately I only wear tartans with which I have a 'connection' and having emailed Riverkilt twice is not close enough to count.

But I still drool every time I see it. You guys are so privileged.

    Regards

I take it, you couldn't find any hose in MARPAT?

More seriously (but not too much), maybe dark blue hose with red garters would work with that particular outfit.

At this year's Vista Games, Bob (bigdad1) with Ryan, an active duty Marine from Kentucky stationed at Pendleton. We hope to see Ryan again at our Clan picnic which is coming up in a few weeks!

Bob's is a casual wool from Burnett's & Struth, no details on Ryan's.
