| | | | the long and the short
Here's a photo of a new 100% wool kilt I have just finished, Glen Mor, lightweight, full length.
And as I has my camera ready, I took one of my shortest kilt, just for fun (ref: the mini-kilt thread!). I think it is MacBeth.

That Glen Mor looks comfortable!
The short one does look like MacBeth to me. There are two members here who have the MacBeth tartan for their avatar, Perldog007 and myself. A fine tartan, to be sure!

Very nice.
I have a 6 yard long piece of single wide PV material but it was cut too short, 23". I was thinking of making a short kilt or trying to attach another piece of material to the top. Now maybe I will make a short kilt. Thanks.

The Glen Mor looks lovely Martin, I like those belt loops at the side too!

The MacBeth (?) looks fine to me. I don't think it looks short at all. It's the Glen Mor that catches my eye.
I like the belt loops, in theory, but with the tartan a half-sett off from the kilt below it looks disruptive to me. The fringe being a stripe or two below the apron also get my attention, but with the apron at an angle I can't really tell what overall visual effect the offset creates.
