Lunch with Diana Gabaldon

Diana Gabaldon, best selling author of the Outlander series, is visiting New Bern for a literary symposium and the Scottish Heritage Society was fortunate enough to get her to join us for lunch.

What a wonderful speaker and an entertaining discussion about her books. She kept us enthralled for one hour!

She toured Scotland right after I left and wasn't in Arizona when I visited.
One day I'll get to meet herself.

The main characters are Jamie Fraser a Jacobite sympathizer who survives Culloden and ultimately gets to North Carolina and his wife Claire who is a time traveler from the 20th century.
