    Man Overboard

So, there was a bit of sunlight this morning and I thought maybe it might be enough to bring up the red in my new USA Kilts semi-traditional in Navy.

So, why not add my L.L. Bean Navy tartan shirt....? Well, This is why.

Yikes!! The colors are different and the line of the shirt tartan takes a different road across my belly....LOTTSA tartan for sure...thought the olde Scots used a lotta tartan....

With my Freelander Sporran, Hats of Ireland cap, Kathy Lare Ka-Bar sgian dubh, Lewis kilt hose, and Z coils.

Its even wilder from the backside...the shirt is to the sett and the kilt is to the stripe!

Sometimes its really obvious where the edge of the envelope is...

Sorry buddy, but this one is a no-go. Gotta salute your guts for trying though.

I kind of like it, it has a Willie MacDuff look to it, if you like it wear it Ron, you have the style to pull it off.

It's a bit too much blue for my taste but at least the sett size and the colors are different. Otherwise it'd look like you were wearing a tartan jumper. Still I would put that in the "Less-Stylish, but Still Wearable" Category rather than a flat out "No-Go".

I like the hat by the way!

My first reaction to your post title was "The SAR bird is in the air!" You can take the Rescue Swimmer out of the Navy....

Great pictures. I need to take a few pictures of mine, and post a review.

I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

Yeah, I thought maybe Ron had fallen out of a boat or something and someone had snapped a photo.
