| | | Many Kilts in Edinburgh
There were thousands of kilts out and about today in Edinburgh where the Scotland -v- Wales six nations rugby international was held at Murrayfield Stadium.
Here are pics of just a very few of the many kilts sighted:-
Smart looking piper at the Scott Monument wearing, I think, Hunting MacLeod
tartan and doing his best to play a tune despite the very cold weather.
This red-haired lass was well wrapped up for the cold weather, wearing a
kilt over a denim skirt over tight dark jeans.
Kiltie and his lady in East Market Street
Kiltie in a hurry, left sock up at knees right sock scrunched down to ankles.
Kilts at the bus stop, at least three guys in kilts in this shot, none of whom appear to be together.
The train which had brought Welsh fans to Edinburgh for the weekend was used for an excursion to North Berwick where we see a Weir tartan kilt beside the train engine.
Another of my box-pleated MUGs.

Great piccies, Alex. If only there were as many kilts to be seen on the streets on other days too!
Take care,
Ham.

I agree with Hamish!
You can usually bet on a kilted piper at the Scott Monument but other sightings tend to be rare.
Were you at the match Alex or did you just go to Edinburgh for the day?
Wonder if there were any Welsh cilts in evidence - didn't see any on the TV.

Nice pictures, C! When I spent 3 weeks in Scotland in 2003 (my first trip) I knew I wouldn't see many kilts, except for the piper here and there and at the regimental museums. So, no big deal, until I got to the Glasgow Airport on May 21, 2003. The place was 'teaming' with Celtic fans making their way to the game in Spain wearing their green and white jerseys and their wedding kilts.
