I'd like to claim the praise for myself, but unfortunately it wasn't I who came up with the stacked kilt pins look. I got the idea from McDonald of Boisdale at a ceilidh at his club in Victoria (central London) last year to raise money for the Stòras Uibhist (Uist Trust) - the foundation to help crofters on Uist buy their land.
