    Memorial Day Reflection

Today I went over to the Canyon De Chelly with a Navajo Code Talker friend for some personal reflection near Spider Rock. ( Was going to Page to visit with RON but wife got sick).

Took a couple of pictures of my USAK ARMY TARTAN KILT, my new belt from Cavscout, and my custom sporran from A_Hay...as usual great workmanship from Cavscout and A_Hay!!!

Yep, very handsome kilt. Maybe I can get a CMB or crossed pistols on a sporran. Great scenery! Recently read Hampton Sides book on the Navajo, "Blood And Thunder". The canyon figures prominently

I notice your combat infantry badge as a kilt pin. I have a friend who says that's the only truly important decoration given by the Army, because it's the one that says you've been out on the sharp end.

Thanks for your service -- and nice kilt.

The CIB is indeed a nice touch. Boy, A_Hay's sporrans just get better and better don't they? WOw. Very very nice.

Wonderful pictures, and a nice kilt, but I think the best thing is that one of a kind sporran you wear it well.

That sporran is a BEAUTY! Hope your wife is feeling better. Glad you found a most suitable way to honor the day.

    Thanks to ALL!
Ron my Code Talker friend sang some Navajo warrior songs and then we watched the sun set over the canyon. Very meaningful and stirring at the same time!
