    A Milestone

    Just as the heading says ... its a pic of a milestone situated just up the road from us. I pass it everyday and just thought that maybe I ought to take a pic of it. Can't be sure how old it is but it would certainly have been there when the only way to London was by Coach and Horses on the old dirt road.

    Interesting Derek. We do walk right by bits of antiquity everyday and never stop to consider . . . Great reminder to pause and think. Thanks for the reminder.

    That is interesting. Here in the states, such things are often bull dozed over and not given a second thought. Thank you for sharing!

    There are some dotted around the Wales Folk Museum too.

    They can be found dotted around the country but usually on old routes and even then are easy to miss unless you are on foot.
