    Morrison sporran

I received my new Morrison dress leather sporran today (from Tartankilts.com ). I bought this for my upcoming (October) wedding and although I originally intended to purchase Morrison's black rabbit fur sporran, I opted for this one because of it's gorgeous torq cantle and it's unique tassel design:

FYI, this baby's got some weight to it and I can practically fit 5 CDs into it, so it's got some depth as well. Altogether, this is the nicest leather sporran I own, not to mention the nicest one I've ever seen.

Very nice. Does the sporran display clan Morrison's crest? I couldn't tell from the photos. Why "Morrison dress leather sporran"?

(Apologies in advance if it's obvious. I often miss the obvious stuff.)

    Thank you,

    Scott,

Sorry, this isn't a 'Clan Morrison' sporran; it's from the company Morrison Sporrans. They make a lot of beautiful sporrans; this just happens to be their only 'dress leather' sporran. Check out their site (non-retail) for more details; you can buy a Morrison sporran from where I got this one (Tartankilts.com) or just Google the company name to find other retailers.

Here's two close-up shots, one of the cantle and one of the torq on the cantle itself:

MacSimoin, that's a hot looking sporran all right. I like the cantle particularly. I had a sporran (a cheapie tho) with similar chain loops at the back and found that the clips on the chain started to rub on the back of the sporran and mark it after just a short while. I'd hate for you to find that out too late! Maybe there's some good alternative suggestions out there?
    Cheers,
    Erin
