The Most Lovely Results of Rocky's "Deal."

Back in July Rocky offered a deal. Pick ANY tartan from all the tartans his mill offers and he'd special order tartans he didn't stock.

I jumped on this offer and ordered up USA Kilts casuals in Gordon Red - a family tartan, and Cladish - a fashion tartan, but a very nice looking one I'll be wearing to the office a lot.

The kilts arrived last week just before my trip down to the Hopi Reservation.

That's the Gordon Red down by Polacca Wash...that's the wind from a thunderstorm moving in that has the pleats dancing.

A front view of the Gordon Red. Yes, it has a lot of gray in it. Finally found a use for my gray SportKilt sox. Pic is next to an old Hopi home at Five Houses near Polacca, Arizona on the Hopi reservation.

Here's the Cladish tartan. Its a fashion tartan but the brown makes a different look for some variety wearing kilts to the office. Picture is up on the Kaibito Plateau north of The Gap on the Navajo Reservation in Arizona. Thats the east face of the Echo Cliffs in the background.

Here's a front view of the USA Kilts Casual in Cladish tartan with buffalo sporran from Miss April's Carpetbags, X Marks pin, and SportKilt sox. Photo is off Highway 160 west of Tuba City, Arizona in the Painted Desert on the Navajo Reservation.

WOw. That Gordon red looks better than I imagined. I think I like it better than the Cladish from what I see in these two. Thanks for the piccies!

More great looking kilts Ron. Is Rocky still doing the deal, or was it a one off? (Perhaps I should ask Rocky direct)

Great pics Ron. And now that I have seen the Cladish, I can't wait to get mine from Rocky.
