it was in Stranraer... the next dee we went tae the Mull o' Galloway... Scotland's maist southernly point...

the wind wuz blooing a gail... but it wuz still a very guid day...

My wife and I took our honeymoon to Scotland around this time of year, and I remember all the lovely yellow gorse in bloom across the west coast.

If I remember right, some folks call in "whin," correct?

I recall a lady on the Isle of Ulva telling us, "When the yellow's on the whin, the kissing season's in!"
