    My Clanranald Box Pleat -AWESOME!!!

i finished my box pleat kilt in the custom run Clanranald tartan that X and organized. I have material left for a vest, but thats later. This was my first kilt that I've made using my new measurements...Not so happy about the weight gain, but the kilt is as perfect as a kilt can be and I absolutely LOVE the tartan and how it turned out, and the way it looks in this style of kilt. It is my most perfect box pleat and I receive no end of compliments every where I go when wearing it-Enjoy

Side Note: I can't give any reasonable explanation, but Dalgleish material is absolutely the best to work as far as pleat hold goes. I've made them from all the mills, but Dalgleish somehow just holds perfectly, hardly wrinkles, and falls into place while hung leaving a perfect look for the next wearing. The hand of the fabric is also somewhat stiffer than others..

I'm leaning a little to the left on my leg in this one, so it looks like my kilt is sliding to one side-Its not though.

    Looks Sharp

Nice job with the kilt Josh and extremely sharp looking. I also like the shirt, a great combo. Enjoy!

You look the bomb, sir! I can't decide whether to try and lose an inch or just sew mine now.

The only problem with this tartan is that pictures just don't do it justice.

The colour set is really wonderful. It looks nice regardless but not as good as it does in person.

The sunlight looks to be helping the Green, but distorting the Red. I've seen some more pics of you online wearing it that look pretty good too, Gabe.

Gabe is absolutely right...Its kinda like the Auld Scotland tartan-You have to see it in person to really appreciate the subtle tones of this tartan. I'll try and take some pics of it today in better lighting.
