My Daughter in a Glengarry
I had a little Christmas party to attend last night and was told, by the hostess (my boss while doing my Ph.D.), that it was dress and children were "encouraged" to come. She made sure that I was coming kilted so that her new beau could meet me in my natural state. On the way there we stopped and a gentleman from Scotland was behind us at the convenience store. I heard "It's good to see a man in a kilt" I could only translate about half of what he said after that, so he hadn't been in country very long. I told him he was welcome to attend the 12th night caleigh in Bisbee if he was going to be in town. He replied he'd be back in Japan by then. About then my brain seized. I wish I'd have gotten the rest of the story. A Merry Christmas and we were off.
Here is a picture of my Daughter after she played with the other kids for 2 hours and snagged my hat. That is her three candles pin on her skirt that still fits from last year.
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

She's a cutie...and has great taste in kilt pins, too!
Is she perhaps a future piper or drummer?
