Here is my Favorite Kilt.

Tartan = "BLACK" Douglas
Pleats = Boxed
Waist = HIGH ( note the 2" belt is @ the "correct place.)
Fastners = The kilt is "fastened with 4 buttons on the side.
Maker = North Channel Kilts (Patrick Roper ) in Seattle WA

I prefer a "high waist ( other kilts are 1" lower ) I am 6' & slender w/narrow hips, & the higher waist helps keep the kilt up.

That is a beautiful kilt. Do you have any photos wearing it? Kilts just look better when someone wears them in my opinion.

I posted a pic in my orig. Introduction. But here is the one Patrick took of me the day I picked it up ( forgive the Quality of focus,. my camera & I forgot to set it right ) Also note the "low slung", belt, to;d you I had troubles .

NOTE, Patrick also made the uniform jacket ( out of an old coat from Goodwill) he does GREAT work.

I can relate. My favorite kilt is a haigh waisted Canadian military issue Black Watch, for that exact reason.
