    My First Kilt arrived

My first kilt arrived this weekend. I had one as part of a band, but this is the first one I've bought for myself. This is Dundas Ancient and is from Burnetts and Struth.

I'm not sure how to post pictures, but here goes...

Well, the pictures did not show up, I'll try a link: https://picasaweb.google.com/jimcoliton/MyFirstKilthttps://picasaweb.google.com/jimcoliton/MyFirstKilt

    Yahoo!

Congratulations on your new kilt Jim!

Not sure if you have one of these, but you mind find one useful.

Riverkilt tipped me off to this model and I couldn't imagine having a kilt, or wool jacket, without one (or at least something similar).

    Best regards,
    Brooke

Looks good. Which tartan is that? I can tell it is one of the northeast ones, or a Campbell, but not which one. Is the stripe orange?

Hi Brooke, thanks for the tip. I have looked at full size versions, but they were too pricey. This is a good option to look at.

The tartan is Dundas Ancient and the stripe is red. That's what I was trying to pick up when I picked the red yarn for the garters. While I was waiting for the kilt I bought yarn and a knitting loom and taught myself to knit and have made 3 sets of garters, grey, yellow, and red. And I have some blue yarn for another set.

Your welcome! I've used mine once or twice a week for the past year and love it. Nice long cord that makes it from the wall outlet to the shower rod (where I hang what ever it is I'm dewrinklizing ) Its about the size of a one quart thermos so it heats up quickly and packs easily for travel too.

    Carry on!

Dug out the Photobucket account trying to post pics again

OK, so I pulled my Photobucket account out of the mothballs and I'll see if I can get some pics to work.

OK, so that's a WHOLE LOT EASIER than Picassa. I just hope it works.
