OMG!! I was inhaling the aroma of both the cigar and the drink. I'd go outside and fire up one of my The Edge by Rocky Patel but it is -1F right now. You lucky person. Will it truly be your first AND last cigar of 2009. Oh well then, that many more for the rest of us!

I find it strange to see you, and the gent in the background smoking in a public place, we've had a smoking ban here for sometime now, I have to enjoy my cigars, when I smoke one at home.

Sound like you had a great smoke at the brew pub. It had been 10 years since I enjoyed a Cigar at a pub!

Yes, think of the money you will save on smoking which will buy nice kilt accessories which will last a lifetime.
Like McMurdo said it seems odd to see a pic of you smoking in a public place, reminds me of Spain where the owner of the establishment can decide whether to allow smoking, which is still permitted in many Spanish pubs and restaurants.

Illinois has been smoke free inside buildings open to the public for the past year now. Any cigars that I enjoy are at home on the porch. I do miss the cigar bar at the Peninsula in downtown Chicago, great selection of both scotch and cigars. Looks like you had an enjoyable evening, hope that you had some company.

Most of the counties around us have smoking bans indoors, which is fine for me as it helps keep me away from cigs. But I do like a cigar every so often, to the point I have dreamed of a humidor for years to keep a few in. Between the ban and my wife not allowing them to be smoked in the house, I think I've only had 5 to 7 in the last year. One of my favorites is the Arturo Fuente Hemmingway series, very nice and smooth and close to 35 minutes to enjoy. Yes I have enjoyed them sitting on my porch being snowed on in 12 degree temps lol. I'll have to look through my cigar log and see if I have tried the Padrons.

Padrons are a very good cigar. I've only had one in my life, but they're amazing! Good call!
