My first weekend back in Kansas from my Washington DC business trip and I could not just stay at home. I miss DC and the citywide activities already.
I decided to wear my SWK Black Watch and Scottish Rugby shirt, with my police boots and dark blue soccer socks. I thought that the whole color combination went quite well.
I perused the local bookstore for anything new and spoke to an old girlfriend and then I drove over to Poyntz Ave where I ate hors d'oeuvres at a new Italian place and had a 12-year-old Famous Grouse whisky, very smooth.
I ran into a fellow Red Socks fan and soldier, he walked past me in the Italian restaurant and said, “Hello Lowlander”.
I then went to Old Chicago’s for my FREE birthday pizza and a couple of beers before heading home to play darts.
