Fantastic Panache! Your daywear outfit is just awesome.

I like the "R.A.F."/fisherman's sweater with the jacket, Panache. I can't say I'm fond of the tartan driving cap, though -- they look a little too "brigadoonish" for me, but that's my opinion only -- I personally like the look of a tweed driving cap with a tweed day jacket, but again, that's just me.

Guid show, and thanks for the pictures of the Newsome kilt!

I also got a good look at this one yesterday at the Ben Lomond Games, as well as at the symphony today and I've learned something.

It's not the YARDAGE so much, that makes a really good looking kilt, it's the MATERIAL. This kilt is testament to the fact that a well-made five-yard kilt, made out of superlative material is every bit as beautiful as an eight yarder.

Very nice Jamie! I have 2 of Matt's creations and love both of them. I think both ensembles are great.

    Andrewson,

The shirt seemed to blend in very well with the what the other men were wearing. You are right about the the loose sleeves, SCD is very energetic and I didn't feel at all uncomfortable (as I did the one time I wore a standard dress shirt to class). My wife, the lovely Flame-Haired Celtic Amazon Goddess is going to make me another shirt with laces at the throat (which seem standard) and a regular cuffs (the ruffled ones got in the way of my hands a bit).

    Tattoobradley and CajunScott,

The driving cap was one I got from my friend who runs www.highlandwarmth.com the same place I got the round celtic knot buckle I'm wearing in my dance attire.

I find driving caps really comfortable and they certainly look nice. I have a well worn tweed one that sadly completely clashes with my tweed coat. ( I was very close to buying a tweed deerstalker at the Ben Lomond Games) I actually prefer a beret or my glengarry but the F-H.C.A.G. really loved the matching cap (and who am I to disagree with such a lovely lady.)

    Retro Red,

    ARRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!

    Cheers

The kilt and jackt look great. Very impressive!

Although I have to admit... I not a big fan of the the puffy shirts. They look like they should be worn with knee high riding boots, tights, and a big sword.

    Different strokes I guess.
