| | | My new SNP tartan kilt... WOW!
Hi guys. I was supposed to pick up my kilt from Slanj on Thursday... I was heading into town today and thought I'd phone just incase it was already complete. It was just finished and I went in and gave it a quick try on. WOW!
Absolutely beautiful kilt... I'm glad I got it pleated to the yellow stripe for a bit of sharpness. The staff were very friendly and everything worked out great. They even gave me the cut-offs as it was the end of that run... should make a lovely tartan sash for Laura!
They also informed me that Sean Connery will be in this week to pick up his kilt in the same tartan!
Here's a few pictures... my cameras been playing up a bit around colour settings, though!
EDIT - I just realised that my sporran chain wrinkled the kilt up at the top which affected the shape of the rest of the kilt... I'll have more pics up of the kilt sitting nice and naturally asap!
Pleat shot:
And my FIRST Hamish!

Wonderful! And if Sir Sean is picking up his, does that mean they'll be from the same fabric...?

Great looking kilt. Pleating to the stripe looks great and really does pop with color. What tartan is it?

(Scottish National Party)
It was released last year on the 75th aniversary of the party... although the very popular "Scottish National" tartan was actually designed for the SNP in the 90's.

I'm getting tartan hose made for the kilt too and they should be ready in a couple of weeks... the grey will do for casul wear, though

If you had timed the collection right you could have been pictured with Sir Sean!
Great looking kilt though!
