    My St.Patrick's Day...

I didn't have any definite plans for the day other than going to the local for a bite and pints, but a few friends from my Renfaire clan were going to the big event at The Mucky Duck Pub, so in spite of my reservations about how much the Duck overcharges for everything, I tagged along....

The Mucky Ducky tents their whole parking lot for the party, they have Celtic entertainment all day, and a big crowd.

I'm glad I went though, Right off the bat I ran into Michelle, a highschool friend I had not seen in 20 years!

A great set by Teribus. www.teribusmusic.com

And some ladies want a photo with the kilt guy!

    Couple more to come...

    My St.Patrick's Day II

After a while at the Duck, a couple of us moved over to Brian O'Neill's Pub to see some friends play,
Sorry I didn't get more photos here, but it got crazy crowded fast..

Before I could get into O'Neill's these young ladies (who were working the door at another bar) wanted a photo..

    And I make new friends...

My friends, 'The Slags' a great local band throw down...

After half a day in various bars, Dallas is ready to go home!

All in all, we had a very nice day, I got a bunch of nice remarks about the kilt, a couple free drinks, posed for a lot of pictures, got one 'proper' kilt check, ate some good grub, heard some great music, and hung out with some of the faire family. Hard to beat that for a good St. Paddy's day!

Well done - and far more interesting than my day spent toiling in the fields of academia...

I was thoroughly disappointed that I didn't get to wear my kilt on St. Patrick's Day...after a full day of work and cooking dinner, etc...before I knew it it was 8:30pm and I was still sitting around the house in my Camoflage uniform pants...I mean the do have a bit of green in them, but not the same!!

I spent the whole day at work. You, Zardoz, know how to have a good time whenever and wherever you're kilted, and the pictures prove it! Thanks for posting the pics!

You have the best times, Zardoz! I had to work, playing electrician in the oil fields... we have stringent rules over what we can wear.... But I really enjoy your photos of your great adventures...thanks for posting them.
