Love the plaid on plaid on plaid look. I'll have to give that a try with my BW kilt!

Congrats on your new kilt, shirt and cloak. I like your style. And you are a talented painter as well.

Re: new 2nd Kilt (plus my ravens cape)
This bold combination of different tartans and the leg wraps looks very retro to me... like ancient-retro. Because it is a tailored kilt (i.e. not a great kilt), this is somehow still contemporary Nice work.
It suits your long hair and beard, but could maybe be enhanced with a Rob Roy type sporran? Here is a DIY thread on the subject:

And another thread with a different style, in case you don't dig the Rob Roy:

The cloak really complements and completes the whole look.
I have a few pieces from Crafty Celts as well - they are the Maryland Renaissance festival. I might have to try to talk my wife into making me a cloak just so I can get the clasps.

Yes bold but it "works". Despite the traditional view against wearing various tartans, I remember the general fashion admonitions for doing just that: 1: make the tartans different in scale. 2: Use a minor colour of one as a major colour of another. And I also agree the cape works well. Wear it good health.
