New band, new uniform

As I mentioned in an earlier thread, I'm marching with the Zor Shine pipe band here in Madison for the summer. They wear the Hunting Cumming tartan:

I think it's a beautiful tartan, and the uniform is very sharp. Here's me after my first parade with the band:

Hummm... that tartan looks a little familiar. Oh yes, it's the exact same one I have in an 8 yard 16 oz. kilt

Of course, I agree that's is a beautiful tartan.

I've mentioned before, that that is one heck of a nice tartan! I LOVE the green with the orange.

In a completely unrelated note, it always strikes me how you are a SPITTING IMAGE of one of my best friend's little brother. It's uncanny....

I might also mention that this is the tartan worn by the Buchan Pipe Band our Clan Cumming Society, U.S.A. supports. Here is a quote from the history page of their site:

...wearing the Cumming Tartan, which is associated with the Buchan area.

If you click on this page of their site, http://www.buchanpipeband.com/history.shtml, and scroll down through it, you can see various photos of the band through the years.

So, there is another pipe and drum band that wears this very excellent tartan.
