    New Black Watch

This Saturday, We were all invited to my friend Karen's house in Liverpool for a Curry Night. Lashings of yummy curry, bashing guitars and tinnies etc till late o'clock.

I decided I'd give my new Black Watch (AKA Grant Hunting) a run out...

It's a 13oz wool 8 yarder picked up from a supplier (Not Gold Bros) who trades on ebay. To be honest, I'm not overly struck with the quality and build of this kilt. It feels quite flimsy compared to my other 13oz wool kilt and creases quite easily. I suspect too that the weight may be a bit on the light side of 13oz... I'm told by the supplier it's imported. I've noticed there are faults in the weave of the cloth which, although are not obvious from a passing bus, I've found them so I know they are there. The selvage is also pretty rough and raggedy.

It's err... alright I suppose but if I were to grade it against the Bobilishious 13oz 8 yard I reviewed recently and that scored a 10. This kilt scores about a 4. It's not my favourite.

    Anywhoo...

That looks like a perfect Saturday Night, John. I wish mine had been near as good.

Sounds a bit like the Black Watch I got a couple of years back.

When are you going to get your lads into kilts?
