    New Crail Jacket

Last week, a fellow x-marker PM'ed me asking if I'd be interested in a like-new crail jacket and waistcoat. He had noted my interest in other similar jackets about that size in the for-sale section. The price he quoted was too good to pass up and we closed the deal. He shipped it from CA 2 days ago, and it just arrived this afternoon via USPS. The bag he packed it in is certainly appropriate...i wonder what tartan that is...

My two existing kilt jackets are saxon jackets modified by a local tailor, so having a real crail jacket with matching waistcoat is unexpectedly delightful.

My hats off to generous x-markers everywhere!

Tis a Braemar cuff jacket you have, not a crail. It looks very nice with your tartan, a smart day look.

I don't think it could fit better if it was bespoke. That's a good buy.

Looks pretty similar to one that I currently own thanks to another kind member of XMTS. This really is a great community.
