    New Day Jacket and Vest

    Hi All
Just treated myself to a new day jacket and vest and thought I would share some pics with you.
The style of the jacket is very simple with no epaulettes or cuff design etc and replicates the classic style jacket and vest as worn by HRH Prince Charles the Duke of Rothesay which can be seen in McMurdo's earlier thread.

Purchased via Slater Menswear in Glasgow, Scotland the material is wool herringbone in Loden Green. I love it

That's a very sharp looking jacket and waistcoat combo, as is the rest of the outfit. Thanks for taking pics at various levels of zoom too

Lovely stuff am just off to look at Slaters website if they have one. Is it off the peg or made to measure? and I love the kilt in the top pic, what is it? is it Isle of Skye? can I have it? or where can i get it. the xmas list is expanding more than my waist line at the moment.
Very nice garments wear them with pride. am so jealous now.

    Hi everyone
    Thanks for your kind comments.
Grizzly, Slaters do have a web site but you can only order certain items of highland wear from it. They have a wider selection in their branches. They do a lot of off the peg stuff but certain items have to be made to order such as my outfit was due to the specific selection of material. They have some really good pattern books in store.

The kilt in the first picture is Macdonald of Clanranald Ancient.

For info only the other two kilts are Macdonald of the Isles Hunting (green kilt)
and Macdonald/Macdonnell of Glengarry Modern (with the bold red through it).

    Thanks again all.
