New daywear for Bob
At the risk of arousing Alan H's ire (which I've probably already accomplished with the use of the term "daywear" ), here is Bob doing nothing more than showing off two of his Christmas presents from me. I was fortunate enough to snap up Troy (arnot's) fabulously handsome green Argyll jacket, keep it hidden until Christmas, and have it actually fit to boot! I think it looks great with the Leatherneck tartan and a new tattersall shirt from Jos Banks. Now to find the right tie to complete this smart outfit.*

* We'll go for green hose next time -- the blue ones were put on for a photo of the XMarks kilt and didn't get swapped for this pic.

The blue hose are fine, Very nice looking jacket as well. A Lovat Green Argyll is on my wish list, I bet he loves it.

Syndie,
Bob looks great in his daywear! I think think that daywear is the very best look for the kilted gentleman! If Bob doesn't already have some lovatt green hose he should pick up some. Lovatt green is a great daywear color (as any kilted gentleman knows.
What a wonderful present!

Thanks for the comments gentlemen. They are appreciated. I do love the jacket that Sweet Sydnie presented me with. It certainly knocks some of the rough edges off of this old coot. She always manages to surprise me. I will probably look for some lovatt green hose as soon as I finish paying for this last Christmas. LOL

The jacket looks great, and I agree with McMurdo that the blue hose look just fine with that outfit. (Though green would probably look just as good, so feel free to go either way).
Oh, and "daywear" is a perfectly acceptable term which used to have a much broader usage, but most people now typically only use it (at least here in the States) when discussing Highland attire. As we are discussing Highland attire, I see nothing pretentious about its use here.

All this talk of DAYWEAR made me think of this old TV commercial.
