    New Newsome has arrived

This just in. Last spring I purchased a length of regimental weight Robertson Red with the anticipation of having Matt make my first real wool kilt. It arrived today and I can't express how happy I am with it. I've read the multitude of posts singing Matt's praises, but to actually hold one of his masterpieces drives home the amount of talent, time and care he puts into his work.

I felt it appropriate to celebrate such an occasions by donning my best.

    And the pleats

    THANK YOU MATT!

Earlier I posted asking for opinions on hose patterns because a friend had agreed to knit some for me. http://www.xmarksthescot.com/forum/n...x.html?t=48499

Here is a closeup of the finished product.

A very smart outfit, you look well in it. Can I ask about the jacket? From the front it has all the appearance of a PC but I see the back lacks the short tails. It looks very smart however.
