New Years day at the Grand Canyon

The wife and I made a spur of the moment trip to the Grand Canyon on New Years Day. The weather was gorgeous, and we ran into a surprising number of Scots at the canyon, including some fellow Macphersons.

Thanks for the pics! The Canyon always takes my breath away!

Someday we ought to try a Arizona Kilt Gathering at the Canyon!

As a MacIntosh to a closely related clan member--awesome! thanks for posting!

and for everyone on the post--as a Flagstaffian (just below the canyon) let's do have a kilted gathering at the rim--I'm totally up for it.

During my last Spring Break I went to Flagstaff to visit my sister and her husband and took a short trip to the canyon. Pictures just don't do it justice, but here are a couple. Yours are better.

Until you've been, you can't truly understand how freakin' big and deep the Grand Canyon is.
