    New Year's Eve 08

Went to our local honky tonk with my red haired lady to dance and party for New Year's Eve.

USA Kilts semi-traditional in Navy tartan. Orvis sweater and RAF mechanics vest in lieu of a sporran (for close dancing). Lewis hose and traditional garter ties from Scottish Tartans Museum.

Tell you what, that kilt swung on the dance floor. A couple comments from drunks but nothing serious. "What are you wearing under there?" "Shoes." He staggered away puzzled. "Bet you wish you had a floor heater to get some warm air up your kilt." "All ready have a heater up there."

    Lots of fun.

Oh that's a good one. I'll have to remember that. Your semi-trad looks great. That's my next kilt, only in the Army tartan. Just waiting for my tax return. Happy New Year to you and yours.

A holiday that celebrates the idea of all the good things that will happen in another year. Most people use this time to get drunk. Just kidding

What better way to start off a new year than with a head-splitting hangover, the stench of vomit on your clothes, and a DWI.
