Newbie to X Marks the Scot's Kilted Contribution
G'day guys,
I've just spent the last couple of days procrastinating from writing my thesis looking over all the top pictures on the forums, and thought it was about time I contributed some myself. Here are a couple of photos of myself and my mates at various functions kilted up.
Obviously somethings working...

My mate Dooges (Black Watch) and I (Farquharson)

Myself and Wonders both wearing the tartan I designed for our College the, "St Andrew's College Tartan" and Roy.

The first four kilts made from the St Andrew's College Tartan

from the Scottish Borders.
Excellent pics and its great to see there are plenty of kilts in Australia.
But I am puzzled as to the significance of the green bear shaped rosette on Dooge's Black Watch kilt, which has resulted in the pin being worn much higher than normal.

Great bunch of pictures

He pinched the kilt from cadets at school when he left and I think the rosette's are used in military units to indicate rank.
