    Newsome Kilt Review

What can I say? I love this kilt! After ready different stories about Matt and his "Box- pleat" kilts I decided to order one in the Morrison green weathered tartan. The craftmanship is great. I have a few handmade kilts by well known kilt makers and this one is at least equal to if not better than all.

This is a different style than any other I own, Matt puts the left buckles inside. This caused me a little problem at first since I have a bad left arm- but after a little practice I can buckle it easy now.

My only problem is that the tartan is "darker" than all my other Morrison tartans so my default day L&M full face skunk sporran does not show up as well, so I am thinking a Bobcat Inverlochy by Ferguson Britt would look great- at least this is my excuse to the Wife.
This is what I wore to the Southern Maryland Games. Kilt by Matt, L&M sporran, Balmoral from Dunadd, Regimental tie, tatershall shirt, pinstripe Crail and cromach by my son.

your wife should understand that yo can't have too many sporrans

I've already got one on order and with yours done I just moved up on the wait list.

    Rick,

That ensemble looks great! I love the pinstripe Crail jacket. Very well put together!

Yup, I'll second all those comments. Great turnout to compliment an excellent Kilt...

So you were the customer that made it possible for me to have a Newsome kilt (Morrison Green Modern) at a great price and with next to no wait.

Looking good! The Weathered Green Morrison was my first choice for a kilt, and I love it.

I thought the same thing about the "hidden" buckle, but it is growing on me too.

Very nice looking kilt, sporran, and jacket, SFCRick. As one who has to wear pinstripe suits as a sort of daily uniform, I'm curious if you will say from what company or tailor did you get the jacket?
