On route to Monmouth you go pass Raglan Castle

And this the main street in Monmouth. A busy little market town.

And now on route to Chepstow down the Wye valley

Hope I'm not boring you all .. just a few more left

The river Wye ... great Salmon and Trout fishing river.

This is the only bridge in the whole of the valley to cross the Wye. Its single lane.

Just coming up to the ruins of Tintern Abbey

Only a couple left on next post.

And finally ...
Tintern Abbey

My second cousin lives and works in Chepstow .. and by sheer luck we bumped into him. He broke the lower part of his leg playing footy for the local team, hence the crutches. Heres me, my cousin and me mum at the back of the pub.

I'm sure you'll find lots of things on the net to tell you all about Usk/Raglan Castles and Tintern Abbey if you wanted to know more.

Thanks for posting, Derek. The nice snaps make me look even more forward to my trip to the UK in September...

Glad to see you have some sunshine - as opposed to here in northern Norway

Vacation pics like these are NEVER boring, Derek! I love to see them whenever someone posts them. As I've never been off N. America I tend to live vicariously through everyone else's travel pics. Please carry on and post more, if you have 'em!

Great photos. Are they repairing the abby? It looked like some scaffolding around the site.
