Those are great pictures, and what I really noticed was what nice weather you had--it must have been a marvelously fun day. I hope it's that nice the next time I go to the UK.

Looks like you had a great day Derek.
The last time I was in Wales was on a school project we spent a week on the Gower peninsular nears Worms head.
I liked that area a lot we also visited a cave with the largest cave mouth in the UK I can't remember the name I was 13 at the time.
I'll have to visit Wales next year when I come over for the Hol's
Thanks for sharing

mrpharr ... yep there was scaffolding around the Abbey. They were working on something or other. I'm delighted everyone is enjoying the piccys ... here are two more ... thats it then, I did'nt take any more.
It wasn't very mountainous where we went, so here is another piccy of the typical countryside of the area.

I could'nt resist posting this next one. When the people next to us having Lunch in Monmouth left to go, one of the pubs residents moved in.

I'm going to put up a new thread especially for David (and everyone else of course) shortly.

Nice pictures of the ruins. I envy you, having all that old history around you; here in California, you're lucky to find anything over 150 years old.
