Our first storm of 2012!

So as many of you know by now, a rather large snow storm wound it's way into Denver. It dropped record amounts on us- 17 inches in 24 hours! For Denver, that's a heck of a lot! So here are some pics of my son and I playing in it!

I shoveled a foot of snow off of the deck, and an hour later, 3 inches had make their way back!

My son and I decided it would be great fun to build a snow fort. This pile is made from the snow from the far end of the driveway.

This was from earlier today, after the storm had cleared out:

It got really bright!

...and then we declared war on the neighbors... They brought snow balls. Silly them.

And my aunt Ginny, who lives in the foothills, showed me this from her back yard!

It's rough being in Colorado right now!

Love the deer pic. Have a ladyfriend in Denver who's been sending updates and pics too...

Snow is probably the only reason I don't live in Colorado....

Keep in mind, Ron, that a storm like this hitting Denver is something that happens once every 7 or 8 years. We don't normally get much more than 6 or 8 inches at any one time, and even then, it doesn't stick around long.

I've always wanted to build a snow fort, but I've never been around enough snow to do it; one day...

And that deer is quite cute! Bet she can hear everything!

I like it with no snow...or a few times and a few inches that melts right away...hear folks are already going stir crazy up there in Denver from being snowed in...
