Pacific Northwest Tour, PART V – Lake Quinault

We continued around Mt. Olympus to Lake Quinault…




…and stayed in a fine, if slightly musty lodge, typical of the National Park System.



(The rain gauge on the chimney was at 10.5 feet.)






It featured a splendid view.

In the morning, more hiking through the woods on well-maintained trails in air perfect for keeping a head of lettuce fresh. This being the off-season, there were no other people there to spoil the scene.












Back at the lodge, the lens fogged up.

The Lodge is really familiar to me because I spent many visits to it while living temporarily with my mother upriver for a few months from Nov. '75 thru Feb. '76.
