Pics from another adventure

Well here are a selection of pics from our last outing up to the market town of Brecon, just north of the Brecon Beacons. I'll have to spread them over 5 posts.

We all met up at 9.30am in a Wetherspoons pub and had coffee and then (our excuse was it was so hot) a cold beer.

This is a piccy from the bus as we were leaving the city centre. National Museum of Wales on the right, The City Hall in the middle, and the little you can see on the left is the central law courts.

This is an old castle in the hillside called 'Castell Coch'

Having some lunch in a little real ale pub in Brecon

After we had eaten everybody went off shopping but Arwyn and myself took off down to the river where there is another very nice real ale pub called Ye Olde Boars Head.

And this is what we were drinking

The next two are shots of the Beacons from the bus on our return. The flat topped mountain in the middle of the picture is called 'Corn Ddu' and to its left Pen-y-fan, the highest mountain in the Beacons.

And this the highest pass in the Beacons

A very nice little tour there, Derek. It takes me back (slightly) to my first visit to Wales - to the Brecon Beacons - when Rob, Dave W and I stayed at LlamHAMlach (!!) ......... and you were sadly prevented from joining us.

Your photo of Cardiff's municipal buildings brings back much more recent, and very happy, memories!!

Thank you for posting them.

Excellent pics, Derek. Nice to see Cardiff City Hall again and the Brecons look to be worth a visit.
