Pics from the Minnesota Renaissance festival

I took the family to the Minnesota Renaissance Festival this past weekend. Spotted quite a few kilties in the crowd.

Yes, I know there are some kilt don'ts.... but hey, everyone was enjoying themselves and they were wearing kilts

    Here's a few more pics.

How about this one. The guy was walking pretty fast so I only got a photo of him passing through. The kilt appeared to be an orange/red/ yellow flame pattern.

There's going to be some gnashing of teeth here but, you know, you're right, they're having fun.

On a bad day, I might even consider a flame kilt. I'd love to find the pic so I can send it to my daughter: frighten her with the thought of me getting a rockabilly kilt.

But I'm not going to stick the fly plaid pin in my kilt, whoa, at least two of those pictures showed that.

(and see what I mean about light sock don't belong on larger calves, nor dark ones on thinner ones. I'm starting to do that "knowing" thing, aren't I? I'll stop.)

When did you go? I was there on Saturday, Sept. 22, and didn't see many kilts. I will be posting about it as soon as I get my picture uploaded. I sure didn't see these people. I was hoping to meet another X marker, but no one replied to my earlier post about going.

    DALE.

You don't have to be Scottish to be comfortable!

I saw a guy wearing the same pattern at the Irish Fair at Harriett Island.

I was there on Saturday (Sept 22, 2007). I'm sorry I missed your earlier post. We could have had a pint together.
