Please share your St. Patrick's Day pictures

I was expecting and hoping many more would be posted so I could cold enjoy the celebration vicariously.

I have a nasty attack of gout that I cant seem to shake. Even if I were up walking around it would not have been the best course of action to partake of Guinness, corned beef, and Bushmills.

I'm sorry you weren't able to get out and have fun

I don't have any photos to post. I wish I'd thought to take some, but I didn't know how my evening would be. Hubby and I decided to stay in for a change. He brought home some Guinness, and I put my Irish National SWK Thrifty on to surprise him. He put on his SWK Standard Black Stewart kilt for me. We had Guinness and listened to Flogging Molly. After dinner (a salad... nothing too fun, unfortunately), I played my fiddle for him (or tried to, my darn bowing isn't going smoothly again) . Then we caught up on some internet stuff and went for an evening walk (I changed out of my kilt and so did he).

I wanted him to get a photo of me playing the fiddle in my Thrifty, but I didn't get a chance to. Ah well... it was an enjoyable enough night, but obviously not very exciting.

    Hope you feel better soon!

I m so sorry for the bout of gout (no rhyme intended) my friend. The worst pain I've ever endured was the result of gout, and I've had heart attacks, heart surgery, and shingles!

Our little parade in Conyers, Geogia, is my absolute favorite. Here I am before the parade started.

The pint of Guiness in my hand is henceforth dedicated to you.

Here is the prettiest girl in the parade--and there were several. She's my gradaughter, Madeline Grace.

Note the snazzy float. I can assure you that it was the best float in the parade.

And, during the paradeitself, I was the official float tractor.

We actually had a few hundred folks in our little parade which is pretty much restricted to kids, dogs, and pretty girls. I'll show more photos when I home tonight. The whloe thng takes about 15 minutes, and then we all break up to eat (shelpherd's pie, corned beef and cabbage, etc), and sample the man libations to be had.

    It was a glorious day.

    Talking

Every time a girl wanted to take a photo with me ( hazards of kilt wearing), if she was cute I would say: "If I can take one too!" My camera battery died early, but I did get this one, (which I shared earlier in a thread that seems to have disappeared )

Oy. Sorry about that gout -- I know the pain. I was a sufferer myself. I hope you have medication. You can check out the parade pictures that I put in this thread.

TheScot -- I don't know if you noticed it but in both your photos with you in it. There are NOT feathers but Flags sticking out of your hat! The first one's the US and the second on might be the Russian flag?

    What's your tartan?

    TheScot,

Nice belt buckle, I have the same one, as soon as you touch it, you feel compelled to polish it straight away...
