    The Quiet Man

So I watched The Quiet Man for the first time last night. I can honestly say I've found a new favorite movie. What more could you ask for? Bare-knuckle boxing, Irish stereotypes used at inappropriate levels, IRA references, drunkeness, hot red heads (Maureen O'Hara!!!), and kilted pipers:

    Here's a close-up

These kids are actually John Wayne's kids!

As cool as that was, I noticed that none of them wore sporrans. I found that odd. But yeah, great film! It was really funny, and full of Irish (although sometimes [usually] stereotyped) wonderfullness!

I don't see the pictures, but I agree The Quiet man is an awesome movie. We traditionally watch it every year on st. patrick's day.

"Here's a good stick to beat the lovely lady with" has got to be one of the most hilarious lines in the movie. Especially because an old lady hands him a stick and says it to John Wayne's character.

One of my favorite flicks: I've got a friend who will quote Michaline O'Flynn with me over and over.
