    Smile Ready for the public!

Maple Leaf Tartan, PV 5 yd by Pete (MacHummel) with my brand new Nightstalker sporran from Stillwater.

Tomorrow morning, I'll wear it to the church's Vacation Bible School for the first time and see what happens!

Well, a couple of odd older folks and a whole bunch of little kids... so you're very right! Actually, I'm thinking that the first time out I'll wear my clergy tartan tank. A few of my folks have already seen it so it will be a wee bit less of a jolt.

"Hey faiiitha... Issazt ane a they skerts fae scotland then... Eh?"

And the correct answer would be...?

We'll i figured it was a bit like a sermon... You have a little practice run first...

You're in Canada, they probably wont even notice...

And talking of Canada, my very first tartan was actually Nova Scotia tartan; a clip on bow tie and a straight tie from my Aunt when she came over to visit when i was 6... 1976... and how do i remember it was 1976?

You're most kind ST, as are the other folks here. And who would attack a priest? Well a lot of folks, it seems, but you develop a thick skin and a kind tongue. Most of the time.

Oh, they'll notice - the parish priest is a very obvious member of the community... but you're right about one thing - Canadians are generally pretty comfortable and knowledgeable with and about kilts and tartans.

MacHummel makes a nice PV kilt and the Maple Leaf is a great choice. So glad it's finally our official tartan!
