    Recruiting a new kiltie!

A friend of mine is Scottish and is very eager to get his own kilt. Last summer I lent him one of mine when we went to the Ren Faire in Bristol, WI. This is the picture I pulled from the archives. I'm on the right. And don't both telling me everything wrong with his kilt, because I know. We fixed it right after the photo. We were just too excited to run around to take another picture!

Notice my Converse Brogues. All you need to do is cut out the tongue and lace up some boot laces!

The converse brogues are cool! O'Neille
Cowards die many times before their deaths; the valiant never taste of death but once. Of all the wonders I yet have heard, it seems to me most strange that men should fear; seeing that death, a necessary end, will come when it will come. --William Shakespeare, Julius Caesar

I'm diggin' the, uh, "ghetto" brogues (ghillie, ghetto, it's close!)! I think I'll have to make myself some...
From the lone Shieling of the misty islands,
Mountains divide us and the waste of seas.
Yet still the blood is strong, the heart is Highland,
And we in dreams behold the Hebrides.

As long as your wearing a kilt it doesn't much matter what you wear with it. Looks good. Thanks for sharing.

Nice pic, and congrats on the convert,
I wonder what hightop brouges would look like?

So, has your friend purchased his first kilt yet? I like the tennis shoe ghillies as well!
