    reenactment in France

It was a few days ago in Touraine, the "garden of France".

In the town of Richelieu , the famous 17th century French Cardinal.

There were 3 reenactment groups reunited this week end.

They come from different parts of France (The North, Montpellier, Touraine).

They specialise in ancient fencing : renaissance, highland as well as 17th and 18th century French and Italian fencing.

They had individual camps on the festival's grounds where they would sleep, wash, cook and exercise.

They put out plays and shows all week end.

    Great pics!
Q: How is Richelieu viewed in France? In the U.S. he is usually painted in quite a sinister light. Just curious and personally unbiased.
